A few years ago, it all started with a simple Supreme drop. It was 12:00 PM. I, Tim, was sitting behind my laptop, but within seconds I watched everything sell out right in front of me. That moment sparked something. If you don’t get the chance to secure an exclusive item yourself, why shouldn’t you help others get that chance?

Two friends of mine, Maurits and Elmar, happened to succeed in the same release that day. Their timing showed exactly how big the difference can be between missing out and hitting it big. From that moment on, we decided to start sourcing together and do our best to offer buyers a fair price. That marked the beginning of our partnership.

At the time, I already had a small Instagram account, and together we decided it was time to build something bigger. A place where people actually had a chance to score popular sneakers. The name had to be instantly clear. After some brainstorming, DripOrDrop was born: you catch the drip, or you miss the drop.

A year later, while searching for a new pair of sneakers, I walked into a store in Groningen and found a model that had been unavailable everywhere for quite some time. The sales assistant was surprised the pair was even still on the shelf. That conversation made one thing clear: exclusive sneakers are actively hunted.

Back home, I dove deeper into the sneaker world beyond Supreme and discovered just how big the demand really was. That’s when I realized there was room for something new, something better. A platform that offers a reliable route to popular sneakers.

That platform became DripOrDrop.
